SA HUMAN-TRAFFICKING AWARENESS WEEK
Every year in South Africa over the first week of October, we join forces with other Civil Society partners to celebrate National Human trafficking awareness week. This week aims to bring greater awareness to the reality of trafficking in our beautiful country. Over the course of the week, there are various government departments and Non-profit organizations that host various awareness events relating to Human Trafficking.
This year as Redlight, we have created a social media competition called #ShineALight in efforts to bring awareness to certain organizations that we have partnered with that are combatting the issue of human trafficking and how YOU can play YOUR part to Shine a light on the Issue of Human trafficking. This week, you can be a part of our #ShineALight Competition by following our instructions below and you could stand a chance to win some beautiful hand-crafted jewelry items made by survivors of exploitation and sex trafficking.
Instructions for the Competition:
- Like and share all the posts on Facebook, that we create each day for the awareness week. (Including this one)
- Like and share the Facebook Pages of the Organizations we are shining a light on.
- Include the following hashtags with your shared posts #ShineALight #Redlight #HTawarenessweek.
