As a board, we have the privilege of providing independent oversight over the leadership and mission of The Domino Foundation. During 2025, we enjoyed a year of meaningful engagement with the executive leadership team, fostering healthy relationship, strategic alignment and effective decision-making. In simple terms: The board consists of people who are independent thinkers, have diverse strengths and provide checks and balances on important thinking and decision making, whilst the finance sub-committee is active and meets regularly with the operational leadership team. This unity of purpose continues to strengthen our ability to serve the organization and those impacted by its work.
A key focus during the year was the management and sustainability of The Domino Foundation’s assets. In pursuit of this objective we launched our Sustainability Fund, in partnership with Anchor Capital. As a capital management company, Anchor have carefully selected a mix of equity and cash investments for long term growth. Domino Foundation has invested cash reserves into these funds in order to yield maximum returns, whilst those who wish to invest into Domino’s future can donate directly into the funds. This initiative represents an important step in the long-term resilience of the organization and our ability to sustain impact for generations to come.
If there is one story that best illustrates leadership, faith and God’s provision during the year, it was the extensive renovation of the Babies Home, including the replacement of the roof. The project was carefully planned, launched in prayer and the team witnessed extraordinary provision from financial contributions through to the donation of a solar system, state of the art cupboards, free accommodation for the babies during the build and much more. The project was concluded within budget and far exceeded our expectations, thereby creating a safe and nurturing environment for the vulnerable children in our care.
