The global generosity movement, GivingTuesday, began in the USA and has spread to 110 countries, one of them South Africa. Its aim is to unleash the power of people to impact and change communities through the” Power of Radical Generosity”. Each of us has something to give: making someone smile; showing up for someone we care about; giving some of what we have to those who need our help. No matter what form our act of generosity takes, it makes a difference – it counts.
Each year, GivingTuesday takes place on the first Tuesday of December which, this year, falls on the first of the month. Each Tuesday until then, Domino will be appealing to its community, friends and supporters, focusing on one of its programmes and asking the questions “What’s in your hand? What’s in your heart?”
