Community-centred Impact

An opportunity to serve, uplift, and transform lives.

Why do we love to serve?

To obey God’s mandate to us
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.” (Isaiah 1:17}

Aquelle Tour Durban

- Sunday 19 April 2026

Tour Durban’s partnership with The Domino Foundation reflects a shared vision of community upliftment through meaningful action. For over 13 years, all proceeds from the iconic Tour Durban cycle race - purposefully themed #Ride4Good - have been channelled directly to the Foundation, enabling expanded impact across its seven relief, justice and empowerment programmes. Donation funds and race support have contributed to immediate education initiatives, food distribution and the broader development work in some of the region’s most vulnerable children, women and communities.

This collaboration goes beyond just fundraising, it builds awareness and community service support from volunteers, schools and riders who often engage directly with the foundation activities, knowing their pedal participation helps fuel real social change. They feel part of the ripple effect of positive transformation known as the #DominoEffect.

Mandela Day

– Saturday 18 July 2026

Our Mandela Day 2025 campaign was centred on a “Build Beyond the Day” ethos that challenges supporters to extend Nelson Mandela’s legacy of service well beyond the official 18 July celebration by committing to volunteer or donate throughout the year. Rather than limiting participation to the traditional 67-minute act of service, the Foundation encourages ongoing engagement in one of its seven community programmes - from #BeThePeanutButterToMyBread campaign of making sandwiches for nutrition initiatives or supporting early childhood development to working with vulnerable families and children - so volunteers and community service students can make a meaningful, sustained impact in underserved communities.

To support this long-term approach, they’ve also launched a monthly giving initiative called “Way-To-Go: Two-Five-Oh,” inviting individuals to pledge R250 per month to help sustain their work while keeping donors updated on how their contributions help beneficiaries over time.

Please find our Online Giving Form for ease of giving.

Or herewith our Q1 2026 Come Serve Options in the meantime.

Womans Day

The Domino Foundation passionately champions women’s empowerment (with over 75% of the staff being female), weaving this commitment into its broader community impact and Women’s Day celebrations. Beyond its ongoing programmes that uplift vulnerable women and families through education, skills development, and restorative justice, the Foundation’s inspirational journey includes engaging community events such as serving as a highlight stop on both the 2024 alexforbes and 2025 community team build, Amazing Race events where participants learned about women-focused initiatives while contributing goods to support key programmes, as well as the Hosannah Women’s Fun Run hosted in July 2025 to raise funds for Zanele’s ECD. From empowering women in early childhood development to nurturing resilience and purpose, The Domino Foundation ensures Women’s Day is not just commemorated, but used as a dynamic platform to connect, educate, and mobilise action that strengthens women and the communities they lead.

Come lead your way and engage in some fun ACTIVAtions!!
