“Life is like an office chair - sometimes you need to adjust the height to get the right perspective, lean back to take a breather, or roll forward to chase what’s ahead. Even when it feels like you’re spinning in circles, remember: you’re still in motion, still adaptable, and perfectly equipped to find your balance. KEEP GOING - YOU’VE GOT THIS!!” So read an unsigned hand-written note attached to one of the office chairs donated by CMA CGM Shipping Agencies to The Domino Foundation. The company had completed a makeover of their Ridgeside offices and had chairs in good condition looking for a new home. The Domino Foundation was chosen as the recipient of the furniture. So, on the Monday morning, several bakkie trips brought the chairs to the NPO’s Durban North offices from which they were ferried to three of Domino’s programmes: the safe house of Red Light anti-human-trafficking; Nutrition South in the Toti area, Nutrition North and Life Skills.

Domino’s Ops Manager, Cathy Whittle, commented that the donation would make a great difference to the counsellors, teachers and administrators who have received the chairs: “It is good to know that some of the people who work long hours serving our beneficiaries will now be comfortably seated in their work situations. We appreciate CMA CGM’s generosity.”

A team member from CMA CGM added: “We’re keeping the identity of the writer of the note anonymous, but we all echo their sentiments: Domino, keep going - you’ve got this!”
