“To us, charity is more than just a word - it's a way of life.” This how chairlady of the Charity portfolio at Northlands Girls’ High School, Esinako Ngcab, summed up what stirs her and her co-workers to action for those in need. She talked enthusiastically about their compassion and willingness to serve others: “It's about realizing that each action done towards charity has the power to make a real difference in the lives of others.” The young ladies recently launched the Bread Buddies initiative with a donation of bread to The Domino Foundation’s Nutrition and Education programmes. Vice-chairlady, Mahira Mahomed, added: “We couldn't be happier with the support we've received so far and look forward to making a positive impact in our community throughout the year.”
Domino’s Thembeka Gumede “Connector” who works with volunteers partnering with the NPO, thanked the young ladies and encouraged other schools wanting to make their community to make an impact to contact her at connect @ domino.org.za or on 013 110 7030.
